Lichfield Citi-connect
LICHFIELD CITI-CONNECT COMMENCES MONDAY 07TH JANUARY 2008
Lichfield Citi-connect is the new network of services to be introduced in and around the Lichfield area. Pictures of the vehicles to be used on the network will appear on this page and will all be branded up for their each individual routes but all carrying the Lichfield citi-connect brand name too. There are 11 route branded vehicles which are all based at the Rugeley depot. The pictures on this page are the current Lichfield   Citi-connect allocation.
No 5 BX57GGE is a brand new ADL Enviro 200 for use on Lichfield local circulars. This is the 1st of an expected 2 and has just been delivered on site today 5-1-08 and is yet to be sign written and have fleet numbers applied.
No 25 BX57GGF is an ADL Enviro 300. Also just arrived on site 5-1-08 this vehicle is to be used on the new hourly working on service 826 Lichfield - Whittington - Tamworth which it will take its 1st journey out on Mon 7th Jan 08.
N0 10 V10LRT Optare Excel has finally been re-furbished after a few months off fleet due to accident damage, now looking smart in its shiney new 2 tone green livery.
No 15 PO03PBC is another example of an Optare Excel. This one was a 2nd hand purchase in 2006 and was in a sorry state when it arrived at our depot. Since then she has been given a new lease of life and has joined the Citi-connect venture and is placed on one of the three workings on service 812 which it carries route branding for.
No 64 CF52DMO is yet another Optare Excel but this being a shorter version than the other 2 owned. This one is also route branded up for service 812 along with the other 2 Excels.
No 43 BP07LRT is a wright solar Scania carrying an all over advert for virgin media. This was a brand new purchase in 2007 and seems to have taken up regular duties on one of the workings on the newly aquired service 991 Lichfield -Walsall.
No 66 S401PRC is an earlier Scania fitted with wright bodywork. This bus is running alongside the Solar Scania on service 991.
No 13 BU03LRT Dennis Dart Eat Lancs Spryte body has taken up one of the workings on service 428 linking Lichfield with Uttoxeter. Service 428 was operated from the Uttoxeter base up untill December 2007, but now operates from the main rugeley base
No 26 FJ58LRS Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 is one of 3 brand new purchases for late 2008. Seen on site 20-11-08 it is for use on the Lichfield 55 network city services, this vehicle replaces the MPD darts that were on service 55A/C to other duties.
No 27 FJ58LRT the 2nd Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 for use on Citi-connect 55 in Lichfield. It carries route branding along the top of the side windows promoting the 55A/C services, and replaces MPD darts on to other duties.
No 28 FJ58LRU Alexander Dennis Enviro 200 joined the fleet early January 2009. Its liveried up for a working on service 812 Lichfield via the villages to Burton On Trent.
