Uttoxeter Depot Fleet Allocation
In late 2007, LR Travel's Uttoxeter operation moved to a smaller depot site based near the village of Doveridge on the outskirts of Uttoxeter. This being a much smaller site than previous a revision of services was announced and a fleet size reduction was put in to place. The following pictures are the current vehicles allocated to the Uttoxeter operation, the remainder vehicles and services have now been moved back to operate from the main Rugeley base.
No 33 F39ENF Alexander Belfast Leyland Tiger is a regular in and around the Uttoxeter area. Seen in this shot in an early morning departure from the depot to commence its duties on service 409
No 8 T202TJR is the lone Optare Spectra low floor double decker. This is carrying side promotions for service 401 Uttoxeter - Tutbury -   Burton - on - Trent. This vehicle was purchased to upgrade this service to low floor spec.

No46 YR56LRT Scania Omnicity is based at Uttoxeter depot for the time being and is being used on service 401 to bring it to low floor operation. This vehice is numbered 46 but seems to have gained number 42 on the front for some unknown reason!!!!
No 38 P384UNE the lone Optare Prisma Mercedes 0405 citybus has recently been re-furbished and taken out of the driver training school to become back on to main fleet. It seems to have strayed out to the countryside of Uttoxeter and making its way on to a working of service 409, mmmm.... must be covering for a failed dennis dart yet again!!!!
An overview of the Uttoxeter depot, as can be seen its a tight squeeze when all allocated vehicles are back on site, but a bit of sensible vehicle parking is all thats needed for them all to fit in behind the locked gates each night!!
Leyland Olympian No 51, G501SFT, is a recent addition to the fleet. This has been added to the Uttoxeter depot to cover on duplicate journeys on service X39 serving Alton Towers through the busy periods.
L190CNL Daf optare spectra now in full 2 tone green livery. This has taken fleet number 6 to replace the withdrawn Alexander bodied Olympian that has been with us for many years.
